Cadence Push-Up Metronome
The push-up fitness test is a measure of upper body strength and endurance. The cadence variation of the push-up test requires the participant to perform the maximum number of push-up following a set pace. See the general push-up test procedure.
We have created s a simple online push-up metronome, that you can use to conduct the cadence push up tests. The cadence push-up test described on this site uses a pace of 20 push-ups per minute, which is the default rate for the metronome below. However, you can change the rate to any number you want.
With this simple metronome you can set a pace based on the number of push-ups per-minute. There is also audio sound indicating when you should be in the up or down position (you can turn the sound off).

How to Use the Metronome
Adjust the 'rate per minute' to get the desired pace. The default rate is 20 per minute (which is one complete push-up every 3 seconds). Enter the required rate, then press the 'start' button to begin. You can turn the sound off, the image will still indicate the set pace.
Please check
On some devices, the timing of this metronome may not be accurate. At high rates some computers and mobile devices may not keep in perfect time due to other computer resources slowing the computer processing down.
Please check the metronome on each device to be used against a stopwatch before using it.
If you are having trouble with the timing displaying properly, try closing down other apps and windows.
